Diving into Design: Highlights from
My Internship at The Shark Group
I had the incredible opportunity to expand my skills as an intern with The Shark Group’s Branding and Design division. Founded by Daymond John—creator of FUBU and one of the five business titans on Shark Tank—The Shark Group specializes in helping companies grow. During my internship, I worked on a variety of exciting projects, including brand identities, presentation decks, and more. Take a look below for some highlights of the work I contributed during my time there.
Brand Services Blog |
The Shark Group
Drafted sketches for the branding services blog to be posted on the Shark Group’s Instagram. The idea was to use the slide show format to provide and teach the viewer about branding. The first slide is a cover image and the rest following were infographic slides. Each of the sketches were about different branding lessons, some of the images are different sketch ideas for the cover image.

Final
For the final, "A 6 Step Guide To Branding" was the chosen topic. The slide show format was not used and instead the infographic was made into an animation.
Social Media | Daymond John
Created quote cards, a design for his IGTV podcast talk with Liz Claman, and as well as a promotion design for Daymond’s future talk with Tom Brady. All of this was used for Daymond’s social media accounts.

Pitch the Sharks
The concept of Pitch the Sharks was to inspire kids to create their own pitch as if they were presenting on Shark Tank. The home activity worksheet was designed to guide them through crafting their pitch. To bring this idea to life, I started by creating a mood board to establish the design direction. Once the style was finalized, I contributed by selecting the final color for the worksheet. Try the Worksheet for Yourself Here.

Sketches
Organized the content into 3 different formats and choose 4 different colors for the last worksheet to see the mixed options.
